Enriching the Mind
One Child at a Time

Welcome to Lakefront Children's Academy.  You have chosen one of the most stable, highly qualified and recommended early child care academies in the city.  Since 1967, the Rogers Family has been at the forefront of the childcare industry, nurturing young minds through decades of training and experience.  LCA has a one of a kind combined curriculum of proven methods for successful learning.  Upon enrolling your child at Lakefront Children's Academy, his/her mind will be enriched on a daily basis by a highly trained and caring staff.

Our Philosophy

We at LCA believe that every child can grow to contribute positively to our society as adults.  In keeping with this philosophy, it is the goal of Lakefront Children's Academy to provide child care programs which address the individual needs of its clientele-involving all areas of behavior (cognitive, emotional, physical and social).  Our child care programs are planned, staffed and directed in a manner which will enable each child to be given proper supervision while they actively engage in required experience enhancement activities.  Within a safe environment each child is stimulated to explore, make choices and develop age appropriate skills which include a collective balance of active and quiet activities.

Our Mission

The primary objective of our school is to help your child develop a positive attitude toward his/herself and toward everything associated with learning.  It is not our goal to rush young children into acquiring academic knowledge

Each child is gently guided into learning what he/she can do to accept themselves and to take pride in and derive satisfaction from personal achievements.  We want to build a creative foundation for a lifetime of learning within your child.  Characteristics such as self-confidence, interdependence, curiosity, persistence, initiative, and the ability to concentrate and organize will be developed.  Our school is also interested in promoting and developing positive social skills.  Building a trusting relationship with peers and adults is very important and  our staff is well aware of this.  Our program is designed to give your child plenty of individual attention and meet the needs of each individual age level.

Kindergarten is the last year of preschool or entry level to elementary school.  We look upon our children as the seeds of the future.  True to the origin of the term kindergarten, we like to think of our facility as a garden in which the seeds of our future are nurtured and flourish as we develop and enrich their minds one child at a time.
